Tiago Splitter Re-signs with Tau Ceramica
According to a report in a Brazilian publication, San Antonio Spurs 2007 draft pick Tiago Splitter has decided to re-sign with his Spanish team Tau Ceramica. Splitter, who was picked in the first round by the Spurs, had earlier said he expected to sign with the Spurs for the 2007-08 season.
This could be a big blow for the Spurs because Splitter has long been regarded as one of the best prospects in Europe. He’s a mobile center who is already a very good defender. His offense is solid but it remains unpolished.
With the Spurs trailing in the Western Conference Finals, it’s almost time to start planning for next season for San Antonio. The Spurs apparently have to cross off Splitter’s name from their next year’s roster.
With Splitter seemingly out of the picture, that could open up room for Ian Mahinmi. Mahinmi is a young center prospect who starred in the NBA D-League during the 2007-08 season. He’s expected to make the Spurs roster for the 2008-09 season.

Tiago well done.
Do what you instinct tells you.
Noticed your add regarding, looking for your roots in Germany. I beleive you travelled with another Regina Splitter.
Well funny as I have the same name here in Australia and yes my father came from Germany prior to his father from Poland.
Maybe we have something in common?
Hope to hear from you sometime.
Sincerly.,
