Roy Hibbert 2008 NBA Draft Prospect
One of the most unique prospects in the 2008 NBA draft is Roy Hibbert of Georgetown. Some NBA scouts think Hibbert can be a quality NBA player, however other NBA scouts think that Hibbert won’t last long in the pros.

What Hibbert has going for him is size. At 7-foot-2 and 275 pounds, Hibbert has fantastic size and is big enough to bang in the NBA. In his senior season at Georgetown, Hibbert averaged 13.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and shot 60.9% from the field.
On the other hand, Hibbert has a lot of question marks. First of all, he has limited mobility and limited speed. His toughness and heart have been questioned. Additionally, Hibbert hasn’t improved much in the last few seasons. In fact, he regressed a bit from his junior season to his senior season.
Despite all the question marks, Hibbert’s size will likely get him drafted in the first round. He has decent athleticism to go with the size, so an NBA team will take a chance on him. The only way he falls out of the first round is if he plays poorly in front of scouts before the 2008 NBA draft.
