NBA Playoff Picture - Fantasy Impact

If you are still playing in your fantasy basketball league, you should keep a close eye on the NBA playoff picture. At this point in the season, stars on teams that aren’t playing meaningful games will play a lot less minutes. Conversely, stars on teams fighting for playoff positioning will play more minutes than usual.

Here is a list of teams still fighting for playoff positioning:

Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavaliers need another win to clinch the fourth seed in the East.

Washington Wizards
The Wizards are trying to catch the Cavs at four, while also trying to avoid slipping to sixth.

Toronto Raptors
The Raptors are still fighting to keep their grasp on the sixth seed.

Philadelphia 76ers
The Sixers are trying to catch the Raptors and get the sixth seed.

Atlanta Hawks
The Hawks need one more win to lock up the eighth seed in the East.

Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers need one win to win the West.

New Orleans Hornets
The Hornets need two wins to lock up the second spot in the West.

San Antonio Spurs
The Spurs can finish anywhere from second to sixth in the West.

Utah Jazz
The Jazz can’t fall further than the fourth seed but they can still move up.

Houston Rockets
The Rockets can finish second, third, fourth, fifth or sixth.

Phoenix Suns
The Suns need two wins to try to get homecourt advantage in the first round.

Dallas Mavericks
The Mavs need a win to lock up the seventh seed.

Denver Nuggets
The Nuggets could finish seventh, eighth or even out of the playoffs.

Golden State Warriors
The Warriors need two wins to have a shot at the playoffs.
