LeBron James Injury Update
After twisting his ankle against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night, LeBron James was forced to miss the game against the Seattle Supersonics on Thursday night. The Cleveland Cavaliers without James lost 101-95. On the season, the Cavs are now 0-6 without James in the lineup.
While the ankle injury isn’t expected to keep James out much longer, his actual return date is still up in the air. However, a good bet would be him missing the game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday but returning the game against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday.
Without James, the Cavs struggle to put the ball in the basket. If there is one player who plays better with James out of the lineup, it’s Larry Hughes. Hughes has always struggled playing next to James but he has shown in the past that he can play well as the go-to player. Against the Sonics, Hughes had 28 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals in 37 minutes of action.
Keep an eye open for news on LeBron James but expect him to be back sooner rather than later.
