Hedo Turkoglu Injury Update

by Stephen Kersey on March 28th, 2008

Against the San Antonio Spurs, Hedo Turkoglu sprained his wrist when falling to the floor. Turkoglu, who hasn’t missed a game this season with the Orlando Magic, isn’t expected to miss any time.

However, it’s not 100% confirmed that Turkoglu will play on Friday against the Milwaukee Bucks. If Turkoglu doesn’t play, expect Maurice Evans, Keith Bogans and Rashard Lewis to play extra minutes at small forward.

Although Turkoglu wasn’t seen as a star before the season, he’s a star now. He’s had a very productive fantasy basketball season and NBA campaign. While Lewis was thought to be the big offseason acquisition, Turkoglu’s play this season has overshadowed Lewis. Lewis is still decent but Turkoglu has emerged as the better player.

Keep an eye on Turkoglu’s injury but chances are he’ll play and if he does, don’t hesitate to get him in your fantasy basketball lineup.
