Fantasy Basketball Injury Updates
If you are looking for some help on your fantasy basketball team, take a look at these players who are all returning soon after missing time due to injury.
Nene, Denver Nuggets
Nene has been out after having thumb surgery but is expected to be ready to play again at around the first of the year. Nene isn’t a great fantasy player but he has good potential. Late last season Nene looked to be in great shape and was performing well. If he can return to that shape, he could be a nice option.
Mike Conley, Memphis Grizzlies
Conley has missed much of the season after hurting his shoulder. He appears to be on the verge of being able to return to action. Although he wasn’t getting many minutes before he got hurt, Conley’s per minute numbers were very good. As the Grizzlies fall out of the playoff picture, expect Conley to get more and more minutes.
Chucky Atkins, Denver Nuggets
Atkins has missed the entire season so far with a groin injury. The good news for the Nuggets is Atkins should be able to return in the next couple weeks. Right now, Anthony Carter is starting for Denver. There’s a chance that Atkins can come in and take the starting point guard job and play well enough to warrant fantasy attention.
Darius Miles, Portland Trail Blazers
Miles’ return is more uncertain than the other three players on this list. While he has resumed basketball activities, it’s unknown when he’ll actually return to the court. There is a chance he could be back in as little as two weeks. Once Miles returns, keep an eye on him to see if he shows any signs of being able to return to his previous level of play.
