Caron Butler Injury Update

by Stephen Kersey on February 29th, 2008

The injury news for the Washington Wizards just keeps getting worse. Caron Butler has been diagnosed with a torn labrum in his hip. While there is no set timetable for his return, this is definitely bad news for the Wizards and fantasy basketball owners around the world.

Butler has been having an amazing fantasy season. He’s been one of the best players in the entire game for much of the year. He had finally blossomed and was surpassing everyone’s expectations.

A torn labrum can either be a season-ending type injury or Butler could opt to play through the pain. Either way, it’s doubtful that he’s going to get back to 100% anytime before the beginning of next season.

In your fantasy basketball league, the best idea right now is to trade him. Let another owner play the waiting game.
